Following military service as a Naval Aviator, Peter Nilsen joined a European start-up medical device and industrial component manufacturer.
In his capacity of Vice President North American Business Development & Acquisitions, Peter led efforts for both organic and acquisition growth strategies. Responsibilities for North American strategic acquisitions resulted in an active industry roll-up of public corporate divestitures and lower middle market firms, enabling the US subsidiary to achieve number one market positions in medical diagnostic imaging and industrial / scientific components and contributing to a successful European IPO. Peter Nilsen has years of experience in corporate governance as a Board Member and is highly aware of the benefits of good corporate stewardship and governance.

Peter's education includes an undergraduate degree from Northern Illinois University and MBA from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Additionally, his professional affiliations include membership in the Chicago chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth, certification as a Merger & Acquisition Advisor and membership in the AM&AA and is a certified Exit Planner with membership in the Exit Planning Institute.
